Pre-signed Cheques from Driver Training School Students Acceptable for Road Test Payment

Customer Surveys:

In early April, ICBC Driver Licensing Centres (DLC) made a change to no longer accept any pre-signed cheques for any licensing transaction.

When this change was implemented it was the intention to not accept any pre-signed cheques and Driver Licensing staff may have told Driver Training School representatives of the new policy.

As a customer service to Driver Training Schools, this policy has been relaxed so that students of Driver Training Schools may still bring in pre-signed cheques (usually signed by their parents) for their driving tests. All other cheques must be signed in the presence of ICBC staff.

If you have any questions about payment methods for any type of licensing transaction, please contact your local Driver Licensing Centre.
