It is important
to understand that although ICBC works closely with the driver training
industry to enhance the quality of their driver training programs,
the qualifications and quality of training offered by schools and
their instructors may vary.
Driver Training
Schools are required to hold and maintain a security bond to protect
the contractual rights of their students. This provides an avenue
for students or parents/guardians to initiate a claim against the
school bond.
If it has been demonstrated that the claimant and
the school have attempted to reach a resolution without success,
Driver Training & Assessment Standards, ICBC will review the
claim and may initiate a refund of funds paid by the student for
training taken or not taken.
