Individuals who have made application for an original Driver Training Instructor's licence are required by Division 27 of the Motor Vehicle Act Requlations to satisfactorily complete an instructor training course at an authorized Instructor Training Facility.  This training must be completed prior to an instructor's licence being issued.

The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) has given the authority to those training facilities, who meet the requirements, to deliver an Instructor Training Program.
