Unlike Class 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 instructor licensing,
which is regulated under Division 27 of the Motor Vehicle Act
Regulations, the Air Brake Instructor Program is mandated by
ICBC policy. NOTE: Air Brake courses must be
offered under the umbrella of a Licensed Driver Training School. Driver training schools must
adhere to ICBC Guidelines for Conducting
Air Brake Courses.
Air Brake Instructor Applicant Requirements An applicant for an Air Brake 'Certificate of Qualification' must complete an Air Brake Instructor's course at an certified Instructor Training Facility. Trainees must meet the following prerequisites:
